Finally Reached 100

Author: jc

Wow, we worked and worked. Not that we were obsessed, but we finally made it. The cache we did it on was Big Oak and the funny thing is that just as we drove up the bottom fell out. We did not stop, we forged on, pulled out our umbrellas and went looking.  This one didn’t take more than 30 seconds to find. The trick was just not to get to wet. I would like to take this moment to thank woodduck870 for the cache that became our 100 find and all of the friends that continued to tell us we were crazy doing what we were doing. HE HE. I would also like to thank Kenneth McDade he showed Stacy and I what Geocaching is about. I guess 250 is the next goal.

So yesterday!

Author: jc

Yesterday we hit two caches really quick, I thought we were on a role and were going to make it.  Within 15 minutes of leaving the house we had two. Then we hit the third one. Wow, great hide, hard to find. It was called Bobbing For Cache and it took us about 1hr to find it. We did, but it took way to long and the next two were no different.  The very next one we found oursleves deep in the woods about 300 feet from the cache with thick bushes and trees and a swamp in between. That was after having walked 30 minutes to get there. Let’s just say we gave up on that one and went for another. Read the rest of this entry »

Preparing for tomorrow

Author: jc

Well, it is about 12:30am now and I have spent the last 45 minutes specing out tomorrows run.  I have mapped about 15 different caches that I think I can hit before lunch and have loaded another 20 or so into the GPS for when I have finished that. All the facts and information needed have been saved on my iPhone using the Geocaching.com software for iPhone and My camera is at the ready. Read the rest of this entry »

Going for 100

Going for 100

Monday we headed out to My in-laws for Christmas.  We should be there for most of the week. Just before heading out Stacy’s father called and said he wanted to help us break 100 Cache finds.

For those of you who don’t know, Stacy and I have found something new to kill time. Actually it is kind of nice to finally find that something that combines my love of technology, Stacy’s love of research and gets Stacy and I out of the house to do something together that does not entail work. This hobby is called Geocaching (read up) Read the rest of this entry »

New Website up

Author: jc

Here we go again.  I have put up a brand new website. This website pertains to Geocaching.  I am working with the Mississippi Cachers Association in setting up a website for the Metro area. Feel free to look around and join.  If you don’t know what geocaching is you should check out geocaching.com.  It is something really fun and cheap that my wife and I are doing. The URL for the new site is www.msgeocaching.com.
